The Office of Mutual Funds (“OMF”) is comprised of two branches: Fund Accounting & Administration and Treasury. Both groups provide vital information and services, allowing OMF to serve as the primary point of contact between BlackRock and the Boards of Trustees for all U.S. mutual funds for which BlackRock serves as investment advisor. The Fund Accounting & Administration branch focuses on fund accounting & custody, financial reporting, tax advisory services and Princeton administrators. The Treasury branch is responsible for board relations, board reporting, legal publishing, broker dealer services, transfer agent oversight and performance/prospectus updates. Primary Job Responsibilities: Team with various internal and external contacts to ensure accurate and timely delivery of all board materials; Maintain journals and spreadsheets on contingent deferred sales charges, subscriptions, production credits and payouts utilized for 12b-1 reporting; Generate reports from internal systems and interpret and manipulate data as necessary; Responsible for reviewing, understanding and reconciling reports received from various internal groups to be used in the quarterly board reports; Respond to ad hoc requests from management and board of directors with a high level of service; Review and facilitate payment of all fund related expenses with fund accounting; Support the dividend reporting and reinvestment process. Skills and Requirements: Prior business experience preferred; Previous experience in mutual fund accounting and administration is preferred; Strong communication skills - both oral and written; Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment; Must possess strong organizational skills; Must be detailed oriented; Must be familiar with MS Word and Excel; Project management, coordination and board reporting experience a plus; Must be able to work independently to resolve issues; Willingness to work overtime as necessary; Occasional travel to other offices may be necessary in this role.
