The Account Management Organization (AMG) is currently looking for a Vice President to join our team supporting the Financial Institutions Group (“FIG”) in New York City. FIG currently manages over $130 bn of assets on behalf of taxable institutional investors in the insurance, banking, and other financial guaranty sectors. The VP will work closely with FIG’s senior management on strategic planning and will oversee group operations.
Responsibilities:
Plan and drive FIG’s strategy, track financial performance, and generate internal reporting
Manage industry leadership agenda including brand promotion, knowledge initiatives and conference speaking engagement/attendance
Develop and maintain competitive intelligence in the insurance asset management industry
Manage the group’s technology agenda
Oversee internal risk management and compliance integrity
Skills & Qualifications:
Outstanding academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, work experience and demonstrated leadership qualities
Bachelors required, Masters or MBA a plus. Finance or economics majors a plus
7-10 years of relevant experience, especially in a management consulting role
Works well as part of a team
Possesses excellent communication and presentation skills
Prior project management experience a strong plus
Excellent creative, analytical and computer skills
A strong interest in financial analysis and the investment management process
