Vanguard, one of the world's largest investment management companies, seeks an experienced retirement plan compliance professional to manage teams of consultants and administrators who provide defined contribution plan clients with compliance and non discrimination testing services. You will ensure that your teams deliver high quality service to internal and external clients accurately and timely by following all department policies and procedures. - Assign clients to your teams and oversee the initiation of services for new clients. - Assist with developing unit projections and annual resource budgets. - Identify and resolve complex, nondiscrimination and compliance issues. - Act as a senior liaison between your department, external clients, internal clients, and other Vanguard departments. - Effectively communicate to internal audiences the services provided by Compliance Testing and the fiscal responsibility to our organization. - Proactively seek opportunities to inform internal and external clients of the department's capabilities. - Design, develop, and deliver training initiatives for CTA and other Vanguard departments. - Look for new ways to deliver services more efficiently and support initiatives for the redesign of internal processes. - Actively participate in recruitment activities and promote a team environment by motivating and coaching, and by providing feedback and regularly scheduled one-on-one meetings. - Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Position Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience. - Minimum of five years of compliance experience, including nondiscrimination testing, people and project-management experience. - Ability to communicate clearly to a variety of audiences on complex technical issues specifically related to nondiscrimination and compliance testing. - Ability to properly assess problem situations, analyze data and results, and prioritize multiple projects as related to technical nondiscrimination and compliance testing issues. - Ability to apply technical knowledge to enhance the delivery of accurate solutions to regulatory issues. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Experience and knowledge in areas related to regulatory research and inquiries, competitor compliance services, competitor defined contribution services, and knowledge of recordkeeping database and compliance/nondiscrimination testing tools.
