Senior Distressed Trader for a preeminent New York-based private equity firm. Specific experience and understanding of the student loan ARS market is required.
Salient attributes and experience are as follows:
Trading experience at a top-ranked firm in the distressed fixed income market and specifically the student loan ARS market. Responsibilities include broad over-arching management of trading activities in this sector. Direct the market making, positioning, and hedging of securities in the sector. Trade product – significant interaction with issuers and investors particularly related to the distressed fixed incmme market. Monitor the amount of risk undertaken by the trading desk and mitigated those risks whenever possible.
An undergraduate quantitative degree (mathematics, physics, or engineering) is a plus; a degree from an elite school is a plus, a CFA, or graduate degree such as an MBA, especially from a top ranked school, is a plus.
