Our Client, a leading cross border life insurance company based in Luxembourg,currently has an opportunity for Senior Fund Accountant within their Fund Accounting Department.
This position is to ensure that the workload is managed in an efficient manner and to the highest standard. The succesful Candidate will be expected to train and assist in the development of Fund Accountants whilst checking other members’ work and taking responsibility for the checking thereof. Responsibility will be held for ensuring all deadlines and service standards are met, as well as all procedures and controls are followed and also to take/suggest decisions in the absence of the Supervisor or the Manager A key function will be to develop a strong relationship with his/her counterparts in the Client Services department with the goal of ensuring broker satisfaction. Main duties of the role will be to ensure that all reconciliation (stock and cash) is clean, adopt responsiblity for ensuring that all client queries are answered within the time agreed in the service standards, ensuring that quarterly valuation are accurate and completed by the stated deadlines, ensuring that the correct and timely processing of the automated procedures relevant to their team, as well as the timely delivery of all projects allocated to them. The ideal Candidates will have at least 3 years experience in Fund Accounting industry. Will be a mature, independent, confident individual with the ability to make decisions in the absence of Supervisor or Manager. Gains the respect and confidence of colleagues through professional behaviour, knowledge and experience as well as their decision-making abilities. A Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Have a positive attitude to problem solving and be proactive in suggesting solutions. Fluent in German and English, another European language would be considered as an advantage.
