As an institutional manager we serve the investment needs of public, corporate, defined benefit and defined contribution plans, as well as Taft-Hartley, endowment/foundation and sub-advised relationships.
The Boston Company uses a bottom-up approach to stock selection, focusing on fundamental research in a process-driven environment. We are a specialist boutique manager of U.S. and international equity disciplines covering value, growth, core, market neutral and alternative strategies as well as balanced portfolios for a wide range of institutional clients.
In addition to developing sales opportunities, S/he will initiate ongoing discussions with clients within an assigned territory on topics including performance, objectives, reporting requirements and other related issues as they arise, will also respond promptly to written client/prospect communications and requests for information, and coordinate resources to provide investment information to clients/prospects. The incumbent will act proactively with the prospective clients in order to achieve their goals. In addition, this position will work with the Relationship Management staff responsible for servicing a number of individual client relationships with the objective of retaining and possibly expanding the relationships. As part of these responsibilities, coordination of technical resources and personnel with due consideration for time and cost efficiency is required.
The ideal candidate will have 5 - 10 years of direct sales and marketing experience and an advanced degree in a related field • Institutional sales experience is required • Proven relationship sales experience is critical • MBA is a plus • Extensive travel is required
