NYLIM currently has a position open for an Associate Product Manager in the NY/NJ area, primarily responsible for collaborating with Product Managers in supporting our growing mutual fund and SMA businesses.
Job Description
Associate Product Managers work with Product Managers to support the product line through a broad range of investment, marketing and sales-related responsibilities which include, but are not limited to:
Providing investment updates and analyses detailing investment style/process, portfolio strategy and recent performance.
Positioning and differentiating products within the product line and relative to leading peers.
Conducting ongoing competitive analysis and research.
Develop analytical reports using various industry tools (e.g. MPI Stylus, Morningstar, Lipper) to support business development efforts for NYLIM products.
Responding to inquiries from external and internal wholesalers, as well as business partners across the organization.
Supporting the Key Accounts team with timely investment and performance information and analysis to support products on platforms.
Working closely with the Marketing team to develop new product support materials and sales ideas.
Providing content in the development of presentations, profiles, Q&As and other marketing materials.
Qualifications / Requirements
3 to 5 years of investment-related experience. Prior Product Management, Investment Management or Research experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience required.
Strong investment industry knowledge.
Ability to work collaboratively to achieve team objectives.
Strong written, analytical and presentation skills. Attention to detail a must.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and complete projects on a timely basis.
Strong PC skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Knowledge of industry databases, such as Lipper, Morningstar, Strategic Insight, etc., a plus.
