Our client, an international telecommunication company, is employing more than 22,000 people worldwide and has a presence in the North and South America, continental Europe and Asia.
THE ROLE
The headquarter was set up in Luxembourg 10 years ago and in order to face the expansion of the group, our client is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Group Controller for their Luxembourg operations.
It is a great opportunity for a candidate who would like to work in controlling and get the possibility of progressing and working on complex operations within the same company!
The successful candidate will begin with the following responsibilities:
Preparation of annual/semi-annual/monthly consolidated IFRS accounts of the group.
Dealing with queries from the accounts team on a day to day basis.
Implementation of accounting processes to improve on quality and efficiency within the accounts team.
Liaison with the group auditors to ensure the smooth running of the audit process.
Supervision and support of the local accounting systems.
Participation to M&A projects and ad hoc projects.
This role would then progress to others responsibilities according to the competences and willingness of the candidate. THE PROFILE
Chartered or Certified accountant (preferably with a syllabus including IFRS/IAS).
Minimum of 2 years professional experience, preferably in an external audit firm.
Dynamic and self-motivated.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Fluency in English, any other language would be an asset.
