Global Investment Bank has an immediate need to add a Senior Front Office Market Risk Manager to their FX and Commodities team in London.
This role’s primary responsibilities are the daily oversight of trading desks within the area, understand the risks and to work with the desks to create and monitor a suitable limits structure. The ability to analyse market movements and understand how this will impact the risks held by the desks is a key requirement. Specifically the successful candidate will be involved with the timely delivery of a daily oversight report explaining positions and movements in VAR; Monitor trades throughout the day to monitor their impact on positions against limits and to look for any unusual activity. Other responsibilities include but are not limitted to: Problem / query resolution; Regular and ad-hoc reporting requests; Data integrity issues; Process breachesCalibrate limits Discuss business needs; Analyse current limit structure and methodology Implement any changes; Maintain close and effective working relationships with business units; Understand the business unit’s operational and strategic information requirements Provide guidance to business units in the requirements for set up of new products.
The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience within the Financial Markets with previous Foreign Exchange product experience, especially in derivative products and preferably gained within a front office product role. Knowledge of commodity markets an advantage. Good understanding of market risk. Good working knowledge of excel, preferably with VBA ability.
