We are seeking high energy, self-motivated Business Development Associates (BDA) to build and grow relationships with financial advisors and portfolio managers within key focus accounts as a member of a Business Development Team within the Private Wealth Management (PWM) group. The primary target audience will be large, mid-tier and regional banks on both the private bank and brokerage side. Primary Responsibilities: The BDA serves as the central point of contact for the team. As a member of the team, a BDA will actively participate in the business management and territory planning with the Business Development Officer (BDO). Specific responsibilities: -Develop and grow relationships with a specified segment of the territory’s clients -Work with prospective and existing clients to provide customized solutions through needs-based profiling -Develop and leverage key internal relationships to aid in providing solutions to advisors -Work closely with BDO to maximize territory sales coverage -Develop call campaigns and client targets -Exchange sales ideas with other channels within US Group -Ability to provide comprehensive and customized data analysis -Follow up on BDO High Value meetings -Meets the minimum activity standards -Joint and solo travel within territory (in-person meetings and conference attendance) -Ability to speak in front of a customer group and field questions and objections -Set up face to face meetings for the BDO -Promote attendance at all roadshows and conferences -Focus and support all key initiatives and campaigns; report key findings -Manage day-to-day operational duties (i.e. manage and track sales lead flow, manage and maintain existing and prospect client databases, report weekly activities and accomplishments, etc. ) Qualifications -BA/BS degree required -3+ years of experience in mutual fund or brokerage industry -NASD Series 7, and 63 or 65 required -Ability to develop relationships with advisors and position investment ideas and other value-add services generating sales and assets -High energy, motivated individual, committed to excellence -Strong phone selling skills -Solid presentation skills both on the phone and in-person -Ability to thrive in a team environment -Exceptional verbal and written communication skills -Solid MS Office skills, including: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
