Platinum Equity, a leading private equity firm, is seeking additional Associates for entry level positions in the business development group based in London.
Business Development position responsibilities include identifying new investment opportunities across a wide range of industries. The associate will have the responsibility to manage corporate and investment banking relationships. Additionally, this role will assist the execution team in reviewing and analyzing deal opportunities for acquisition.
The ideal candidate would possess 1-3 years of relevant business experience in developing and managing relationships in a finance environment. Also the candidate should have an understanding of balance sheets, P&L statements and general M&A principals. It is ideal if the candidate has come from the Private Equity or the banking industry - but it is not necessary.
The Applicant should demonstrate excellent verbal communication and organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task. This position is NOT transaction oriented. This position is focused on origination and sourcing of opportunities so an emphasis is put on phone communication and verbal persuasion and techniques. The candidate must be comfortable working in a small office environment and be able to travel on business when necessary. The ideal candidate would be fluent in either German, French or Italian.
