Are you an experienced price maker/trader in derivative products seeking a challenging role as a Commodities Risk Market Head? Do you understand the risks associated with trading these products; have an ability to value that risk and the experience to then manage that risk? In order to be successful in this role it is likely that you will have a strong quantitative analytical background with a solid knowledge of a broad range of financial market products including FX, Interest Rates, Commodities and associated derivatives. This will have been gained from working within Risk, Product Control or Systems Development in an Investment Bank, Hedge Fund, Fund Manager or Energy Corporation. An ability to develop and implement trading risk management methodologies such as VaR and stress testing of interest rate derivatives and securities in order to measure and monitor market risk is essential to succeeding in this role. You will have highly developed Commodity risk management in products including vanilla, exotic and structured derivative products across Commodity asset groups (Agricultural, Energy, Base Metals). Managing a team you will require excelled communication skills that will allow you to interact with front office as well as finance and IT support areas based both in Sydney and overseas. In return you will be provided with the opportunity to drive the development of the process, moving towards a "market best practice" model. This will enable you to contribute to the overall operation of the Market Risk and key projects. You will be leading a team of highly motivated and professional individuals in an environment that will allow you to maximise your full potential. Professionals with a background in the Energy Sectors involved in market pricing and correct market analysis or from an Institutional Bank with deal origination/sales or trading in commodities will be highly sort after.
