The Role:
- Handling enquiries from lawyers in respect of new business
- Reviewing new business documentation to ensure that the prospective client falls within established polices and risk guidance
- Preparing service proposals for external parties
- Preparing internal proposals to be approved by our business acceptance committee
- Liaising with investment managers, internal and external lawyers
- Acting as a director on investment funds in an individual capacity
- Reviewing and commenting on offering documents and statutory documents
- Ensuring internal anti-money laundering compliance
- Ensuring adherence to internal procedures at all times
- Reviewing and commenting on monthly and annual financial statements
- Conducting board meetings as an officer
- Recording and preparing minutes of meetings
The Candidate:
- An in-depth knowledge of the Cayman Islands funds industry, obtained through at least 3 years working in the sector
- Knowledge of different structures used for investment vehicles together with their constitutive documents
- Knowledge of fiduciary duties and risks
- Knowledge of the main types of investment strategies used by hedge funds
- Able to work in an open team environment whilst being self-motivated to carry out duties
- Qualified accountant preferred
- Highly organised, and able to deal with a fast-moving, high-pressure working environment
- Able and willing to work long hours when necessary
