webMethods Middleware Engineer Serve as a middleware engineer in within the Technology Infrastructure Services group. Primary responsibilities include designing, configuring, supporting, maintaining, administering, and documenting the webMethods environments (development, test, performance, QA, training, and production). This role will also support webMethods development teams and be on-call for production support applications. This challenging role will also be responsible for working with the business and application development groups to insure the appropriate processes and technical infrastructure are put in place that will meet their business requirements.
Specifically the role's responsibilities include: - Administering and supporting multiple environments- Troubleshooting problems and problem resolution- Pager support on a rotational basis- Interfacing with the Infrastructure and Operations groups- Supporting the development teams witho Application integration connections and adapterso General technical supporto Escalation of vendor issues- Performing/coordinating o Backup processeso Restore processes o DR Strategy and Testingo Upgrades/patches bug fixeso Monitoring tools and processeso Code migrationso Security and error handling processes
Qualifications webMethods and UNIX required.Must have 4 years of systems project experience with knowledge of infrastructure and end-to-end development life cycle processes and methodologies. Requires a strong history of analytical problem solving. Ability to multi-task, work in a team environment, understand and be responsive to customer needs, work under tight deadlines, and work independently. Must be flexible, a good listener, and have strong oral and written communication skills. Additional skills: UNIX scripting, webMethods IS Admin, TN, Broker, Modeler, IS Adapters (JDBC, MQ), webMethods Developer, and version control tools Candidates that have strong skills in webMethods or UNIX can be trained for the other requirement provided they can demonstrate a strong understanding of EAI or have experience in another shell based system.
