As an Actuary in our Life practice in London, Edinburgh or Glasgow, you will:
Lead teams carrying out technical actuarial projects, for example embedded value reviews, audit support, modelling, M&A and financial reporting;
Manage client relationships including project planning, budgeting and resolving issues;
Contribute to practice management, including recruitment, coaching, mentoring and appraisals;
Contribute to the growth of the practice, by networking internally and externally, and playing a significant part in new business proposals and presentations.
To qualify, you will have:
Overall knowledge of the life industry and the ability to apply your knowledge in practical and commercial situations;
Experience of at least three of the following actuarial techniques: asset liability modelling, stochastic modelling, embedded value, USGAAP, IFRS, audit, realistic balance sheet, ICA, asset modelling, capital management, with-profits, protection, distribution, M&A / structuring;
A working knowledge of modelling systems such as Prophet or MoSes and / or strong audit / actuarial reviews;
Experience of managing people, projects and client relationships.
