Working in the Energy / Utilities sector for a global operation, energy trader will be part of a team responsible for buying / selling of electricity and gas on world commodities markets. Role will also involve liaising with energy providers and operators and internal teams.
Joining the energy trading team of a large utilities company, the Energy Operations Analyst will be part of a small team responsible for the buying and selling of electricity and gas on forward and spot markets. The role will involve closely tracking movements on global commodities markets and setting strategies to minimise the risk from both a pricing and supply standpoint for the Irish market. The team will work closely with grid operators, energy providers and also the many internal teams and functions within the organisation.
The Candidate will have a minimum of three years experience working within the energy / utilities sector with some prior experience working in a commodities trading role a distinct advantage. The Candidate will be degree qualified from a Science / Engineering / Business discipline with excellent numerate, analytical and IT skills.
