Job Description: In this position, the candidate will be responsible for the administration of SQL Server database systems, and the creation, enhancement and maintaining of Windows and Web-based, database driven business applications. The candidate will work closely with internal clients and other members of the MIS development team to design, develop, maintain, and support the business applications that implement the company’s strategic business plans. -
Provide DBA support for SQL Server database systems. -
The writing of stored procedures, triggers, DTS packages, and other database objects to implement business logic. -
Design and implement database redundancy. -
Develop documentation of database systems. -
Collect functional requirements. -
Develop technical specifications. -
Write, test, and debug application systems and processes. -
Implement and deploy application systems and processes. -
Perform maintenance and enhancement of existing application systems and processes. -
Perform database-related code reviews. Qualifications: Technical Requirements: · 3+ years experience administering SQL Server 2000 and/or 2005. · Strong database performance tuning and troubleshooting expertise. · Experience working with database replication and mirroring. · Experience implementing RAID on a SQL Server machine. · 3+ years of SQL coding experience, including the creation of stored procedures, triggers, and DTS packages. · Experience upgrading from SQL Server 2000 to 2005 a plus. · Experience administering an Oracle database system a plus. · Preferred working knowledge of VB.Net and/or Visual Basic 6.0. · Preferred working knowledge of HTML, ASP and other web development languages and tools. Functional Requirements: - 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience in the implementation and support of complex, high availability database applications.
- Experience with Onyx or other CRM applications preferred.
