Description of duties The Intern will receive training from corporate finance analysts and Directors (M&A, ECM, Corporate Broking, Structured Products) to support them in all aspects of transaction process from strategic research through to execution. The role will provide unparalleled exposure to senior professionals and the world of Equity Capital Markets, Private Placement and M&A transactions. The main tasks will be: - Research & Documentation - assist in writing detailed company descriptions for the Corporate Broking activity
- Presentations - assist in preparing client presentations and support Analysts and Associates in preparing pitches for prospect presentation
- Marketing - assist in the execution of the origination strategy to contact potential clients and process to track and monitor follow-up
- Valuation - Undertake valuations from initial data to indicative valuation and present them to colleagues and clients, taking responsibility for the substance and quality of the work
- Modelling - Create and update detailed financial models and business plans for private placements, management buy-outs, and Capital Markets transactions
- Sector coverage - analyse a range of TMT and Healthcare companies to understand trends and investment interests
- General Transaction support - involvement in assembling, developing, and/or editing information requests, proposals, and management presentations. Co-ordinate client conference calls, deliverables & correspondence and road show events
Requirements The ideal candidate will have an outstanding academic track record from a recognized college or university with a degree in Business or Finance: Business Schools (HEC, ESSEC, ESCP, Sciences Po, EM Lyon…), Tier 1 University (Dauphine, Sorbonne, Assas…) and Engineering Schools (Mines, Centrale…). Previous internship experience in investment banking or private equity is desirable. Skills required: - French as mother tongue
- Fluent written English and excellent spoken English is required
