Their Investment Banking Division offers unsurpassed financial advisory and capital-raising services to corporations, organizations and governments around the world As Manager of the Trade Support, the incumbent will support the equity, program and derivatives trading. This organisation provides clients with seamless, multi-asset class cross-border trading opportunities. In addition to the full suite of trading opportunities, they are active in investment banking, advisory, capital market and research activities. In the capacity of Manager, Equity TSG, the incumbent will perform a key role in ensuring the continued expansion of the Australian trading interests of our global client base and our proprietary trading teams. You role will involve (but not limited):
- Management of the processing of all reconciliations that take place in the team, including Trading and Omni accounts;
- Developing strong relationships with key Business Units (including Proprietary traders, Sales Traders, Stock Lending, Private Wealth Management, Legal & Compliance etc) to deliver quality service and solutions to their evolving business requirements;
- Utilisation of comprehensive risk management processes/tools to ensure minimal risk exposure resulting from incorrect trade entry and unreconciled positions;
- Input into the strategic direction of the department;
- Execution of controls around all functions managed within the team, and coordinating regular review of these controls to ensure relevance;
- Ensuring team members adhere to relevant procedures and carry out processes within required timeframes;
You will ideally possess the following: - Ability to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, in particular Trading Desks, Compliance and IT
- Minimum 5 years financial markets experience, ideally in an Equity Trade Support or Operations role with a broker dealer;
- 2+ years relevant experience of people and process management;
- Ability to analyse risk and take appropriate action to escalate issues;
- Ability to communicate effectively with Business Units, external clients and senior management;
