Experienced Project Manager needed by financial giant to lead the delivery efforts for a $M+ financial services packaged implementation
Working as a contract Project Manager for one of Australia's leading wealth management organisations offers the successful candidate a fantastic work/life balance and the opportunity to manage some of the more market-leading, cutting-edge projects in funds management and trading system development.
YOU WILL:
Identify, evaluate, specify and implement business system solutions
Manage and or contribute as a team member, in one or more business systems projects, managing multiple projects where needed
Liaise closely with business units to identify opportunities that will improve overall business performance
Liaise with external software and hardware vendors
Conceptualise innovative yet practical and commercially viable business system strategies into manageable tasks, set clearly defined objectives and priorities, clarify action steps for achieving the objectives, produce comprehensive project plans, and anticipate and make provision for potential problems and pitfalls
Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences
Work effectively with other Project Managers

A broad technology background with an in-depth understanding of business focused applications and industry business trends in use, and a vision for future innovation.

Attention to detail, with the ability to drive and influence, whilst building, maintaining and improving, business and IT relationships
An implicit understanding of the inter-relationship of systems implementation, business-process re-engineering and organisational change
Clear understanding of the Funds Management industry and administration process, supporting structures and technology infrastructure would be viewed favourably, along with relevant tertiary or industry qualifications

Excellent project management, business analysis, design, specification and business system skills
Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
There is a road-map of at least 18 months of work for the successful candidate, though the initial contract will be 6-months. The daily rate, inclusive of superannuation, is $700-770 per day.
