YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: As an underwriter, your focus is on risk. You structure and negotiate custom-made insurance solutions for individual risks or portfolios.
Your activities include: – Preparing, assessing and writing proportional and non-proportional offers for demanding client accounts – Negotiating with clients and brokers in coordination with client management – Handling the treaties/risks of cedants and brokers serviced, incl. liability assessment and budgeting – Performing result and portfolio analyses, including development of business sector and product strategies – Providing support in design and further development of non-traditional reinsurance solutions – Working on projects, seminars, workshops and reviews YOUR PROFILE: Having successfully completed your academic education as a mathematician (ideally as an actuary), an engineer, economist or lawyer, you have acquired excellent underwriting experience in primary insurance or reinsurance. You are now seeking new challenges and organisational scope at an internationally operating market and opinion leader that will give you the opportunity to use your knowledge and creativity in a business environment. You have a high level of competence in assessing complex risks of international scope, and the curiosity and ambition to use your expertise worldwide in successfully and sustainably solving new tasks and optimising exploitation of opportunities. You make decisions consistently and assume responsibility for these. You are able to communicate fluently in English in negotiations, while a good command of specific markets and other languages corresponding to your area of responsibility is desirable. Your strengths include a confident and convincing manner, precision, a high level of initiative and an affinity for working in an ambitious team.
