Trade Support Manager, FI Trading Concentrating on the Fixed Income Hedge Fund flows, the Trade Support Manager will be responsible for ensuring all trade economic data is correct on the investment book of record in a timely fashion and that any queries are dealt with promptly. In essence, the role is designed to ensure the best approach is taken while still ensuring that the applications and processes also meet the requirements of the traders.Responsibilities • Provide day-to-day support to the Head of FI Trading to prioritize and implement improvements to the trading process. • Partner with Fixed Income IT to identify, manage, prioritize, and implement improvements to the existing process and applications. • Ensure controls around risk and compliance are maintained and improved within the trading process. • Represent the interests of the dealing desk within operations and IT and ensure that the requirements of Fixed Income Trading are represented. • Manage the Fixed Income Trade Support Team. • Partner with the Operations group in Data sourcing efforts, BCP, ‘critical vendor’ analysis, and work flow optimizations. Qualifications • Detailed knowledge of Fixed Income products and trading mechanics. Experience in Fixed Income OTC derivative products required, namely interest rate swaps, credit default swaps, swaptions, options on futures, overnight index swaps. • High standard of education. Industry Qualifications in relevant topics highly favored. • Minimum 5 years experience in the financial industry at a manager level. • Proven team leader who is able to motivate and lead from the front. • Experienced at implementing projects and the structure around them. • Have an understanding of the Fixed Income markets and trading principles. • Detailed knowledge of Bloomberg, Excel and trading systems. • Good inter-personal skills, able to communicate clearly and effectively. • High degree of self-motivation with strong integrity & ethics guided by BGI’s values: integrity, insight, innovation, passion, One BGI.
