This market leading debt advisory group is looking to hire two new people, one to be based in Frankfurt and the other to be based in London.  The team are leading the way when concerned with debt advisory for financial sponsors and mid cap corporates.  As we come into a period which will throw up lots of interesting opportunities within distressed debt there could not be a better time to join a leading advisor is this field.  The group offer international transaction exposure the volume of which is second to none within this space.  They have offices globally and if travel or international relocation is something you would be looking for in the future then while not something that will be forced upon people it would definitely be available once established in the team.  The team has some sector specialists but for these roles exposure to a broad range of sectors is strongly preferred. Regarding coverage, the work would include everything from the more straight forward corporate re-financings through to very complex restructuring projects. 

They are looking for people who can bring in depth credit analysis skills linked with client facing experience or the potential and desire to become client facing.  The level of client interaction apparent from day one will depend on experience but even if you are at the more junior end of the scale you must demonstrate the potential to be an effective representative of the group as they actively encourage client interaction from all team members.  The group like to promote internally so the opportunity to carve out a highly successful and lucrative career is not only available but expected, this is demonstrated by their exceptional staff retention rates.

Experience and skills:

1.      London

• Associate or Associate Director
• Excellent academic history
• In depth credit analysis skills across the capital structure eg Tier 1 leveraged finance trained
• Broad sector exposure
• Origination experience advantagous
• Accountancy or legal qualifications advantageous
• Additional European languages advantageous
• Personable

2.      Frankfurt

• Director           
• Excellent academic history
• In depth credit analysis skills across the capital structure
• Excellent knowledge of the German mid-cap market
• Good network of contacts (financial sponsors, banks etc)
• Ability to generate own revenue stream
• Broad sector knowledge
• Pro-active mentality
• German speaker
