Reporting directly to the Group Controller, you will have the scope to develop the tax resources and capabilities of the Group. You will be responsible for all tax aspects including Corporate Tax and indirect tax planning and structuring, as well as oversight of tax compliance and reporting. Due to the high level of acquisitions undertaken by the Group you will be involved in tax aspects of corporate structuring for M&A activity. Your role will be value adding and key to the on-going success of the company. • All aspects of high level tax planning that will be varied and allow you to apply your international corporate tax knowledge and experience. • Responsibility for indirect tax planning. Planning, structuring and WHT analysis through ad hoc projects. • Project work to achieve tax objectives globally. • Management of the tax computations and returns for all Swiss entities and for corporate vehicles in varying jurisdictions. • Managing tax queries from Revenue Authorities. • Review of contracts to provide advice on all tax implications. • Identifying tax risk and executing solutions in respect of new and changing business activities. • Identifying and researching tax technical issues. • Assisting in the year end tax reporting for Consolidated IFRS reporting purposes, including monthly review and analysis of all tax accounts and provisions. Preparation and management of monthly tax numbers for internal reporting (reconciling adjustments between Local GAAP and IFRS). • Implementing and defending cross border tax structured transactions and involvement with new and existing transfer pricing arrangements. Therefore, the ideal candidate will have/be: • Creative thinker. • Bachelors Degree or equivalent. • Accredited taxation qualification or relevant Master's Degree preferred. • Experience as Senior Manager/Manager within the Big 4 or equivalent level. • Ability to take the initiative and make a positive contribution to the business. • Strong analytical skills necessary to research a wide range of tax issues. • Resilient under pressure and able to adapt quickly to unforeseen work demands. • Strong on execution and delivery. • Fluent in English. German/French a plus. • Good commercial awareness and business acumen. • Proven practical experience of international tax. • Financial services experience is advantageous. This role will see you interacting with Financial Controllers and the wider Finance Team, Operations, Risk Management, new products team, the M&A team and external parties such as advisors, auditors and tax authorities.
