Job Responsibilities • Responsibility for the US Product Services team, encompassing all activities required to support the lending business, transaction processing & collateral management in accordance with BGI approved credit schedule. • Demonstrate appropriate procedures, controls & transparency of risk reporting to manage & mitigate risk i.e. reconciliations, pricing checks, recalls, fails management, corporate action event processing & restrictions. • Production resource management; ensure sufficient trained resources are available, follow best practice management, team building & coaching, holiday cover, recruitment & succession planning. Specific adherence to appropriate regulations. • Motivate & influence individuals to perform at the highest expected level, regular team & individual meetings, KTO setting & assessment, delegation of duties, recognition & reward for good performance, coaching & guidance where improvements identified. Provide, document & supports clear training plans for team members. • Responsible for the day-to-day management of relationships with service providers i.e. Custodians, Borrowers and outsourced areas. Ensure appropriate structure and reporting exists to manage/monitor expected service levels, identify & partner to deliver optimum solutions for business growth & efficiency. Specific adherence to appropriate regulations • Champion industry, global, local strategic initiatives, specifically ensuring optimum automation & connectivity between BGI & its partners. Incorporating a benefits/cost analysis approach. • Champion the establishment of a Global Product Services team. Specific understanding of global process & nuances. • As part of the local management team contribute & build effective working relationships with all parties through regular communication & information sharing • Manage and protect the firm/ clients from risk through the use information, audit trails, systems and good judgment. • Develop expertise in local market practices through training, classes and outside reading, to ensure best of class service and BGI is acting under a best practices policy. Qualifications • Experience in proactive people management with evidence of coaching, delegation & team building skills. • Experience in the financial industry preferred • Awareness of risk situations and demonstrated ability to adhere to procedures to ensure risk mitigation • Willingness to work market hours & participate in global conference calls. • Communicates effectively both verbally & in writing, strong listening skills evidenced • Can approach problem solving objectively. • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments while maintaining a high quality. • Acts in a positive & professional manner when representing the group through clients, provider & broker interaction. • Proven Risk management & decision making skills • BS/BA degree in business, economics, or other business related subject.
