Established Investment Management organization in Los Angeles, CA seeks a well-qualified candidate to a assist a dynamic portfolio investment team.

Key position directly supports portfolio investment team. Preferred candidate is a highly organized, take charge individual who will handle trade settlements, account reconciliation, trade input and verification. Position involves daily interaction with custodial banks by email and phone.  Some of the duties include preparing computer-generated morning reports for the investment team, account balancing, data retrieval from Bloomberg, system downloads, mid-month and & month-end balancing, maintenance of research, coordinating bank and delivery instructions. 

Position is responsible for all confirmation, processing, and settlement of trades, as well as reconciliation of accounts. Excellent opportunity for a team-oriented candidate seeking daily interaction with portfolio management team. 

Candidate must meet the following requirements: Strong communication, supervisory, time management, and organizational skills. Able to perform efficiently in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Strong computer skills are mandatory; proficient w/MS Office 2007, especially Advanced Excel proficiency, to enable multi-tasking with projects in spreadsheet applications, i.e. being able to sort and manage data in lists, use pivot tables to display and chart data, and create & use macros, etc. Proficiency w/ Bloomberg, and able to learn and navigate custodian based websites, and able to learn customized computer programs.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and technically-inclined, with strong aptitude for numbers and capable of taking charge and adding value. Must have 4-year college degree and stable job history working at an asset management firm (with experience in fixed-income strongly preferred) and/or bank.
